VERY UNIQUE Antique COFFEE TABLE wood and leather - $100

It sounds hideous, but it's just because it's unusual. It's clearly from the late 19th or early 20th century, and was some kind of sorting table. Both the leather and wood are very worn, but in a good way.

I always get compliments on what a wonderful piece it is. The leather seat is torn and will need to be repaired, but that will be both easy and inexpensive.

Am looking for $100 or best offer.

No, actually it doesn't sound hideous... it just looks hideous. Where, I wonder, is our friend displaying this piece in his/her house to get compliments on it? "Oh here, sit on my... oh, actually don't sit on that part since the seat is torn. Actually, don't sit there either, the wood is a little splintery. Just a tad. I built this entertainment center a while back and have since changed my living room. It's made of 3/4 birch plywood. 52" at its widest point, 30" high. Has cut outs for a center speaker 18.5"w x 6"h and component stack 18.5"w x 18"h. It's raw wood now. All it needs is a coat of paint.

Are you sure this is an entertainment center and not a military bunker?

very unique, designer-queen size bed frame

This is a very unique gueen size bed frame.
Giraffe print material on headboard and footboard,
all four corners have a large, iron curly-Q decorative piece.
This frame converts to a queen or full size mattress, but looks best with a queen size.
I bought this bed from an interior decorator, it was designed for her daughter's room.
These photos do not show this bed off well, my daughter decorated her room very buisy at the time these were taken.
There is a gold moon and sun hanging off of the corners when the photos were taken, these are NOT a part of the frame. There are roses drapped on top of the headboard, these too are not attached to the frame. There is a quilt on the footboard of these photos also. If you can look past all of the buisiness of the room, you will see a great bed that can really transform a room.

This is truly amazing. I think we found Jean(ne) Bice's love nest! Quick, get me the interior decorator's number!

SCARY STUFFED CAT- LONG STORY

To anyone interested in reading this story or accepting my scary cat: I’m a normal girl who just celebrated my 29th birthday. I’m a classical violinist and an animal lover. I have three dogs and three cats. I definitely don’t consider myself a cat lady, but I do love my cats because they’re funnier and more intelligent than most people. Plus they make handsome throw rugs and door stops. When you walk into my house, you wouldn’t think, “Wow, this girl loves animals.” It’s just a normal house with a neutral couch, a throw pillow or two, paintings, some family photos, candles, plants, some bookshelves, a TV, etc. Nothing really out of the ordinary except a music stand and one really fat cat in particular that does not appear to be domestic but more like the result of a hippo-panther porn film.

Someone in my extended family, who shall remain nameless, found the PERFECT (in another dimension) birthday gift for me. It is a large, stuffed fake cat (as opposed to a real stuffed cat, because that would be even sicker). This isn’t any ordinary stuffed cat. It is covered in musical print. That’s right. Music notes, the occasional treble clef, and quarter rests. Because OBVIOUSLY a violin playing animal lover would LOVE a stuffed cat covered in music, right? Right? No. Not right.

This cat is scary. Its paws are painted on in heart shapes with puffy paint. I didn’t even know puffy paint still existed. I used that stuff when I was in 6th grade to match my tight rolled jeans, bad perm, and Blossom hats. Ok, back to the cat. Its neck and tail are accented with a big gold ribbon. Personally, any of my cats would bite my face off if I ever tried to tie a gold ribbon around its tail. So, anyway, this stuffed cat smells like cigarette smoke. Strongly. Like it has been a chain smoker for a minimum of 23 years. Its eyes look demonic, and its smile reminds me of Alice in Wonderland if you’re hitting the crack pipe. This cat is heavy, and I’m pretty sure there is an entity inside. Looking at it now, it looks like a huge piece of pizza dough that was topped in puffy paint, force fed to a piece of sheet music, thrown up inside a cigarette stand, and then sold in a garage sale by the lucky pimp who found it.

This cat is tagged with “original by JUDYBONE.” This Judybone character is one sick person. She works out of Colorado, assuming that this was a local garage/craft sale purchase by “purchaser in my extended family who shall remain nameless.” In fact, if you trace Judybone, you might just stumble upon Osama bin Laden. She very well could be an Al Qaeda mastermind herself. She probably writes love letters and sends possessed stuffed cats to serial killers on death row. Who knows where this cat has been, really.

I am attaching pictures of the scary cat, as well as one of my hippo-panther porn cat, because I know you’re dying of curiosity now. If you would like to purchase this cat, make me an offer. You must prove to me that you have taken the proper precautions before bringing this cat into your home including having good health insurance for the lung cancer you will most certainly develop from the second hand smoke. You must also have a saved soul because the entity inside this cat is probably looking for a more pleasant smelling host with real teeth and claws that are not made of puffy paint.

I had this post sitting unpublished for a while in my blog queue because it was so disturbing. I googled Chinese Medicine Dolls and noticed that this person had just cut and paste the description from another web site about the dolls, but his/her own commentary about the "lovely ladies" guarding their owner's honor and modesty was actually what was most gag-worthy. Those feet are probably so tiny because they were lovingly bound by her master.

You are Bidding on an extraordinary Lion Coffee Table. It is a true work of art. Signed by the artist from Mexico. Anyone who has ever seen this table had to comment. It is a conversational piece as well as a work of art that you can use. As you can see by the pictures it is anatomically correct. Due to its fragile nature it will have to be picked up from the location no shipping available. It is made from paper mache and painted with color then a top coat of glossy finish. It has a glass top cut precisely to fit on all four paws with rounded edges. It has minor cracks under the enamel in a couple various spots and a little wear on the areas where the glass lays on I have put pads under the glass to protect it but sometimes they have come off. I loved this table as soon as I laid eyes on it. But now that I have a child its not very practical. Email me with any questions. Thank you for looking.

Back in the day, when I was just a little bugger, I had a really cool fabric doll of Ronald McDonald. There's a pic of me being scooped up by my dad (probably the guy who bought me the very doll) in our neighborhood McDonalds, holding the doll. This thing definitely looks sturdy, but like Das Boot, this German sofa shoulda never left for sea. I'm sure burnt sienna looks great in someone's living room, but I haven't met that person yet. And those tassles make me a little uncomfortable.

Each Vintage World piece has the appearance of true time-worn old world antique- on that has been lovingly cared for to preserve its character and beauty. This exotic antique appearance is achieved through the use of exotic and hardwood solids enhanced through the use of many fancy face veneers. To make each piece unique and authentic, edges are rasped and gouged, corners are sanded and rounded, and overall surfaces are burnished and distressed with similar wormholes.
This furniture is less than a year old and cost close to 5K new. It was purchased at Fortino's in Hollister, CA and was set up by them last August. It has not been moved. The bed is a KING side headboard and footboard with side rail.(mattresses not included.) The 2 nightstands are extra large and hold quite a bit. Each has a top drawer and a storage shelf inside. The dresser is higher than most, and has lots of drawers. The drawers are well made and all work really well. There is also a huge mirror for the dresser that we haven't even taken out of the box- (Not pictured). This mirror IS included in this set. This furniture is in NEW condition with no flaws of any kind. It has been lovingly cared for and taken care of in the short time we've had it. I still have the tags. Sadly we purchased a home this set will not fit in, so we have to let it go. This furniture is solid wood and is very well made. There are still some vintage world matching pieces available on the broyhill site. You can get an idea of the $$$ cost as well. More pictures or exact dimensions are available if needed. Buyer to dissassemble and move all pieces downstairs. Pieces are heavy, Mirror is still in original Box and is as wide and almost as tall as the dresser itself. Paypal or cash only, pick up only.

Did this person used to write copy for Broyhill or what? As much as I hate faux antique (My wormhole doesn't need to be rasped, gouged or burnished, thank you), this bedroom set is pretty impressive in its massive tackiness. Although its power is definitely offset by the outdated television on the dresser. I know this furniture is supposed to be Old World and all, but that tv is from A Different World era.

But overall, it's the sorta bedroom that would inspire an album title, something like the Ohsee's "The Master's Bedroom is Worth Spending a Night In."

You are looking at a full sectional sofa set, a matching dining room table with four colorful chairs, and a unique mirror. I bought the whole set 5 years ago in south Florida at an Art Deco Furniture store. I bought the set together for my third vacation home that I used once or twice a year. There is very little use on the sofa and chairs. Virtually no wear at All. About 2.5 years ago I sold my home and had the furniture sent to Illinois where I live. I had it in storage since. There is a small scuff mark on the arm of the sofa from shipping. The sofa and chairs look brand new.

The sofa is cobalt blue velvet/velour fabric and the cushions have mixed colors including yellow, red, blue, black and green. The table base is acrylic and it’s purple with black design. The table has glass top that I could not photo because of glare and has no scratches. The mirror is acrylic and has yellow, blue, red and silver.

This is a very nice setup for someone who wants to stand out. You will be very happy with the set.

Nostalgia does not good furniture make, but I have to admit that I am on the border about this find. The whole set up reminds me of some family's romper room that I played in when I was just a knee high rugrat, and there's something comforting about that. Wood paneling, Colonial wallpaper and that plush blue chair just kinda look like a room in some old grandparent's house that I'd wanna eat cookies in. It also kinda looks like a chair I'd find in 70% of my friend's houses in the Bay Area. Vintage finds that maybe don't look so great on their own, but could work in the right room. Yeah, it's not chic, but it's ok 'cuz grandma's bringing cookies and it's almost nap time.

4" diameter beveled glass top, base is a butterfly handmade out of iron. This table is truly a one of a kind piece - purchased at a boutique in Delray Beach Florida for $2,000. Excellent condition, hardly used. Glass top is not attached, so you could put your own smaller glass top on it. The blue glass ball for the butterfly head is also not attached, so that could be changed to a different color ball. 30" tall
